Pat's just had two days of right side hemi Most of it was a 'floppy' paresis rather than a tonic one and not too much head twisting or eye deviation... I think these kinds of attacks are more 'comfortable' for him than the ones where everything goes stiff for long periods. Anyway, on warning signs. About four nights ago Patrick started twisting and turning in his sleep. The next night he woke up in the middle of the night and took a while to get back to sleep. And the night BEFORE the attack, he slept restlessly, but for about 2 hours more than usual. At the moment, restless or odd sleeping patterns are one of our few signs that an attack is coming. Anyone else noticed this in the young'uns? Constipation is also a sign, but this usually coincides with the attack. He also seems to know its coming in the seconds before, and often reaches out to be picked up moments before his leg or arm collapses now, which is handy for everyone involved! Now he has to learn not to try to walk when his legs aren't working
